Bestselling Authors 2024 – Who Are the Top Authors of 2024?
Searching for “bestselling authors 2024” or the Best Books for Writers? Last year was a landmark year for the literary world, with authors across genres captivating readers and dominating bestseller lists. From timeless classics to groundbreaking debuts, these writers shaped the narrative landscape and sparked conversations around the globe.
This guide to the 2024 top selling authors includes more than just fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books. It also reveals 2024’s bestselling debut authors, male and female authors, Christian authors, Black authors, and genre-specific leaders in a wide range of fiction and nonfiction subgenres.
These lists of bestselling authors in 2024 were compiled by former literary agent Mark Malatesta, the creator of this How to Become a Bestselling Author guide. The authors who appear here were selected using sales data for both print books and eBooks, from trusted bestseller list data sources: the New York Times, Publishers Weekly, Amazon, American Booksellers Association (ABA), and The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA).
When it was possible to do so, the bestselling authors here were arranged with the top selling authors appearing at the top, such as on our first list: Top 10 Selling Authors of 2024. However, most of the lists are arranged alphabetically, as it’s difficult (if not impossible) to say with certainty, exactly how many copies each author sold in 2024. It is possible to determine which authors appeared (and appeared most) on the most popular bestseller lists.
Lastly, these lists were created by humans (with some help from AI since there’s a lot of information here), so, if you find an error, please send us an email.
